Saturday I installed 1G of memory in my three year old eMac. The next day I installed OX 10.4.6 (Tiger). I figured it was time since this years Turbo Tax requires OX 4.

Sunday night I met with my family for birthday dinner at Sassafras restaurant. I had the seared Yellowfin ahi. Then I shared my first single malt scotch with my brother-in-law. I really liked it.

There is a lot of family drama around my brother's family and his son. My nephew and his mother are fighting a lot. He is now staying at a friends house.

I write this because the Magnolia toilet seat cover we install 3 to 5 years ago had cracked paint and corrosion on the metal in less then a year.

Today, there was a lot of activity before I went to work.

I did not turn on the TV or the computer before going to work. So my day started out much quieter then usual.

First, I finished a chapter from the Historian. I hadn't picked up this book in months.

I did a little pilates and then I started to dust. I hate dust and there was a lot of it.

I did a pretty thorough job of dusting and vacuuming in the bedroom. When I was done I turned on the air filter and closed the door to try to clear the air of dust.

I showered and dressed before heading for the St. Francis Safeway. A little shopping but they didn't have everything I wanted.

Finally, I dropped the 4 bags that have been in my car for weeks at the Goodwill truck in the Safeway parking lot. YAY!!

Wow! I haven't written a daily "5" since Tuesday. I guess this is kind of the end. I first skipped 4 days in December due to funeral malaise. But now I just don't care much for the daily thing. most of my days are the same.

I like to watch tv when I am home alone. I like to look at my turtles. I work, I go to the dentist twice a year, I go to bunko once a month, etc. The thing I like best about this journal is I can look back on what I was doing on a given day. Where we went on a weekend outing. I may try to keep this up as a weekend recap of the week. This kind of journalling would be useless without tabs and titles.

I am glad I did this but I have lost the drive to keep it up. I have neglected my Dodopad because of the daily entries here.

The last few months I was doing more and more back entries.

A nice sunny day for the turtles. Tickle got an hour on the lawn. Newbie loves eating the fallen cactus.

I spent the evening laying out the 10x10 cubicle I will be sharing with Rick later this year.

I got a touch of food poisoning from the pasta sauce?

I got up early today to wait for an appliance repairman because the dishwasher still leaks. I paid $60 just for the "diagnosis". Now that I know what the problem is I will fix it myself. I ordered a soapdish latch gasket from http://www.repairclinic.com
